Parading numbskulls in Iran with ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Israel’ placards
Secretary of State John Kerry recently said signs coming out of Iran over their nuclear enrichment program are “positive.”
Jay Carney told reporters last month, “The Iranian proposal was a new proposal with a level of seriousness and substance that we had not seen before.” We should not “expect a breakthrough overnight.” “These are complicated issues. They’re technical issues.” Jay, sounding tough, added, “The onus remains on Iran to come into compliance with its international obligations.”
Iran is really ‘serious’ and Rouhani is really ‘moderate.’ That can be seen quite clearly as they prepare for their annual November 4th Death to the United States celebrations as a lead up to peace talks.
November 4th is the anniversary of the storming to the US embassy in Tehran in 1979 under the direction of the now-deceased Ayatollah Khomeini. They took 52 Americans hostage for 444 days. Iran said the embassy was a den of spying at the time.
Iranians will continue to celebrate and commemorate the event by continuing the use of the slogan, ‘Death to America.’ They have to keep that they said.
They are tying the NSA spying to the celebrations this year.
Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, Tehran’s Imam of Friday prayers, said they must keep up the ‘Death to America’ chant throughout negotiations. The Iranians even have two new songs which they unveiled at the former US embassy. They are just as proud of the attack on the embassy today as they were 34 years ago.
The White House is optimistic about the negotiations and sees positive signs. What could they possibly be seeing that is positive?
The Guards – the IRGC – released a statement about how they will commemorate the event. The statement comes with the complete backing of the Ayatollah, good friend to the ‘moderate’ Hassan Rouhani.
Fars News Agency published the IRGC’s statement. The guards said that the US cannot be trusted in peace talks based on the NSA spying scandal.
But they can be trusted?
The statement reads in part:
“The trend of developments, remarks and stances of the US officials and bodies in recent weeks is indicative of the inability of the White House leaders to bring about national consensus about the settlement of the nuclear case and recognition of the Iranian nation’s legal and inalienable rights and unfortunately displays that the US continues its oppressive scenarios and still beats on the drums of tightening sanctions and pressures and even threats without paying any heed to the golden opportunity (present now).”
“Given the Americans’ dark and treacherous record, the Iranian nation is entitled to demand concurrent, reciprocal confidence-building moves by the (opposite) parties to the nuclear debate, and will continue showing its distrust and declaring its hatred and disgust for the irrational, conceited and vow-breaking government of the US.”
By ‘inalienable rights,’ the Iranians mean they have an inalienable right to build nuclear weapons if they choose to do so.
“The slogan Death to America is the symbol of strength and determination of the Iranian nation against the dominance of the United States, which is an oppressive and untrustworthy nation,” said the Revolutionary Guards on their official website.
The Iranians celebrate November 4th every year as the National Day Against Global Arrogance all while they are making nuclear bombs which they hope will one day destroy Israel and the United States.
The Iranians are using the NSA spying as an excuse for continuing their nuclear enrichment but Mr. Obama will not look askance at them, he will blame Edward Snowden, but then again, what does he know? He only knows what he reads in the papers and he probably doesn’t read the Iranian news.
