Hillary Clinton’s charitable foundation, The Global Initiative, is taking money from foreign entities as she ramps up for her presidential run. The money is coming in from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Germany, Canada, et cetera. The fact that this presents a conflict of interest means nothing to the Clintons.
It may be a conflict of interest but they want the money.
The Clintons banned foreign contributions at the behest of Barack Obama while she was Secretary of State but there were exceptions, now there are no exceptions.
Will Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Germany get to decide U.S. policy if she becomes president? They are giving her millions.
An agency from Canada donated. They support the Keystone XL pipeline.
The Clintons didn’t announce the change in policy. It was discovered by the Wall Street Journal.
United Arab Emirates, a first-time donor, gave between $1 million and $5 million in 2014, and the German government—which also hadn’t previously given—contributed between $100,000 and $250,000. Oman gave millions.
She has taken in over $2 billion in foreign cash that we know of and the Clintons have no intention of stopping the practice.
In August 2013 , the NY Times posted a scathing article about the Clintons and their charitable foundation, the Global Initiative.
Many were perplexed as to why the liberal paper would put out something negative about Hillary.
It was probably a way to get it out of the way before the election and to put the blame on former Bill Clinton aide, Doug Band.
The telegraph UK online, a liberal UK paper, began their commentary of the NY Times article by asking if Rush Limbaugh guest-edited for the Times when the article was approved. One has to wonder how it got past the censors, they opined.
The Global Clinton Initiative serves to connect corporate executives and government officials across the globe for the “good of mankind”.
The foundation runs multimillion-dollar deficits while raking in vast amounts of cash.
The Clintons have gotten rich while their Foundation runs in the red despite enormous amounts of money being funneled into it.
The Foundation has been used to support, promote, and facilitate the Clintons’ personal and political ambitions.
The Times wrote that it was difficult ‘to disentangle the Clintons’ charity work from Mr. Clinton’s moneymaking ventures and Mrs. Clinton’s political future…’
It’s a charity-crony organization. As the NY Times wrote,…’businessmen have been able to expand the profile of their companies by working generously alongside the Clinton Foundation.’
Doug Band, Clinton confidant and aide, who helped grow the Initiative into the huge Clinton ATM it is today, ended up taking the hit for its many problems and sketchy financial dealings.
Hillary partnered with a bank – Standard Chartered – that laundered hundreds of billions of dollars for Iran. While the bank was laundering money for terrorists, drug kingpins, weapons dealers, and corrupt regimes, it was at the same time funding programs connected to the Clintons.
Bill Clinton partnered with Band in Band’s company – Teneo – and charged outrageous consulting fees.
The New Republic, a leftist publication, blamed the corruption in the Foundation’s dealing on Doug Band in a nicely-synchronized posting that was timed well with the NY Times article and other articles.
In the end, one has to wonder if these foreign entities won’t have more say in policy making under Hillary as president than the American people.
Oh well…at this point…what difference does it make?
