Rick Perry will drop out of the Presidential race this Thursday and is expected to endorse Newt Gingrich. The announcement will come at 11 a.m. in North Charleston, SC, according to Politico.

Perry got off to a late start and was ill-prepared as a result. He seems to lack the debating skills of some of his competitors. Those issues, combined with a number of faux pas, pushed him into the lower tier of candidates. Without sufficient funds and without any sign of picking up steam, it’s time for him to leave the field. He is an accomplished Governor and I have no doubt he would have made a good President.
