Sebelius: Kickback and Bribery Are Okay If It’s Obamacare

Obamacare is exempt from the law banning bribery, rebates, and kickbacks. Kathleen Sebelius decided that the federal subsidies and the exchanges would not be called ‘federal healthcare programs’ so they would be exempted from the law. There will be no judicial recourse when the kickbacks and bribes start flowing in.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise since the entire healthcare law was passed with a corrupt use of congressional procedures and bribery without a single Republican vote.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise since we allow our Congress to engage in insider trading.

Even with these laws, Medicare and Medicaid are filled with fraud, can you imagine the rampant corruption that will be ensue  in Obamacare without this important law enforcement tool?

Sebelius’ action is probably a kickback to special interests groups.

Obamacare exchanges can now pay off medical professionals with impunity. The federal government will be unaccountable.

Bribery by companies to doctors will influence medical decisions. That has been an issue in the past but it has been limited because of these anti-fraud laws. Companies – often drug companies – were paying for luxurious vacations for doctors. Do you really think you can trust that you are getting the best care and the best drugs if your providers can be bribed?

Rebate coupons are often used to lure customers towards higher cost drugs and now the taxpayer will be on the hook for this.

These subsidies will cost at least $1 trillion over the next ten years. It will undoubtedly be higher if we allow bribery and kickbacks.

It shouldn’t surprise people since our own president has been lying to us since 2009 about Obamacare and continues to lie about it. Lies, bribery, kickbacks…all are now okay.

Mr. Obama repeatedly told us we could keep our doctors, health insurance plans and hospitals when he knew it wasn’t true. He doubled down on the lie yesterday in a speech:

“When the unexpected happens, when the unanticipated happens, we’re just going to work on it,” Mr. Obama said. “We’re going to fix things that aren’t working the way they should be. We’re going to smooth this thing out, and we’re just going to keep on going.’ ”

‘Unexpected?” Really?

What he said originally and many times since was this:

“That means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.” President Obama, speech to the American Medical Association, June 15, 2009, during the debate over health insurance reform.

and he said this:

“And if you like your insurance plan, you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you.  It hasn’t happened yet.  It won’t happen in the future.” – Obama, remarks in Portland, Ore., April 1, 2010, after the bill was signed into law.

But yesterday he lied and claimed he said this:

“Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed.”

In a less-than-honest effort to cover for the president, the NY Times phrased it this way:

Mr. Obama provided some additional explanation: “Now if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you could keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law was passed.”

Explanation? A lie is an explanation now?

It gets worse. The NY Times omitted the fact that even a $1 change in a co-pay could cause the insurance policies to become illegal. Meanwhile the companies have to add in-vitro, abortifacients, birth control, and endless other options. They couldn’t possible offer it for the same cost. Yet, the president blamed the insurance companies for his promise not being kept.

The NY Times, a state-sponsored news outlet, put it this way:

‘In recent weeks, hundreds of thousands of people have received notices discontinuing individual insurance policies because they did not meet minimum coverage standards under the health care law.’

They didn’t meet minimum standards under this law!!! The law requires everyone pay for things they don’t need.

People throughout the nation are seeing huge increases to their premiums, co-pays, and deductibles so they can be covered for things they don’t need.

The Manhattan Institute just completed a study showing average increases in premiums of 41%! Who can afford that? And it has only just begun.

Obamacare is a redistribution of wealth. The government is forcing people to pay for the people who do not produce. That’s fair? That’s justice?

The entire bill is a fraud and now people are exempt from conviction for fraud as they bribe and offer kickbacks to charm doctors into liking their drugs or their devices!

The Tea Party and conservative groups have been demonized as radicals. Who are the radicals?

In what world is any of this sensible?
