A pro-Second Amendment rally was held in Albany today, Thursday. About 5,000 to 7,000 attended and it was one of the largest rallies held in the Albany Capitol according to state troopers.
Many of our cowardly downstate representatives from Long Island voted for Andrew Cuomo’s Draconian anti-gun bill, a bill that didn’t even allow for police to carry large capacity magazines. It was passed in haste and I can’t find anyone who actually read it. It was only 8 pages long – come on, they could have insisted on reading it before agreeing to pass it.
We have a few warriors who had the courage to stand up for the Second Amendment in the wake of the tragedy in Newtown, understanding that the anti-gun bill is not the answer to avoiding a Newtown.
Two of those champions were Al Graf and Lee Zeldin. They stand for something and they have the courage of their convictions.
