Watch the video below in which the State Department spokesperson Marie Harf sells the idea that we can’t win the war with ISIS by killing them. They need jobs!

Marie Harf with Chris Matthews:

“We’re killing a lot of them and we’re going to keep killing more of them. So are the Egyptians, so are the Jordanians. They’re in this fight with us,” Harf claimed. But we cannot win this war by killing them. We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need in the medium to longer term to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs…”

In other words, they’re jihadists not because they are sociopathic killers driven by a fanatical religious ideology, but because they are poor. We have to give them jobs. Of course this government hasn’t even given its citizens jobs but that’s an aside.

I think we should give them food stamps and big screen TVs. They need jobs as Barack Obama’s bodyguards. I know, hire them as border agents.

We are going to take psychopaths who slaughter people including women, children, the elderly, the handicapped, innocent laborers, in the most horrific ways, and we are going to give them jobs.

The terrorists are on a global jihad in the name of Islam but the administration doesn’t know that.

They don’t understand or care to understand what an Islamo-Fascist is. They think the cause is poverty not theocratic jihad.

ISIS is quickly taking over huge swaths of land in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. They have designs on Europe and want to destroy the U.S. and Israel. The administration thinks that we have the time to discuss, figure out, and resolve the “root causes”.

Harf claimed Jordan and Egypt are in the fight with us but the U.S. won’t even share information on ISIS targets with them.

We are not in it with them. They are alone.

Chris Matthews was skeptical:
