The recent chemical weapon released in the government-controlled town of Khan al-Assal, Syria, might have been released by Jihadists. A reliable source close to the Syrian military told NBC News that it was possibly a home-made rocket manufactured locally, containing a type of chlorine easily available as a swimming pool cleaner. There is a chlorine factory nearby.
Syrian soldiers are among the 26 dead from the attack. In an unusual move, the Syrian government, along with Russia and the US asked the UN to investigate. They are examining samples now.
