Could Trump’s relationship with Hillary Clinton and his inability to hit her on her most vulnerable suspicious activity – the Foundation – become his fatal flaw?
In 2012, as Obama was running for re-election and Trump declined to run for the presidency, he called Clinton “terrific” in an interview with Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren, saying Hillary performed well as Secretary of State. It wasn’t the first time he had said it.
“Hillary Clinton I think is a terrific woman,” he told Greta. “I am biased because I have known her for years. I live in New York. She lives in New York. I really like her and her husband both a lot. I think she really works hard. And I think, again, she’s given an agenda, it is not all of her, but I think she really works hard and I think she does a good job. I like her.
Asked whether he would support her in the case of a presidential run, Trump said that he did not “want to get into this because I will get myself into trouble.”
“I just like her,” Trump remarked, adding the same of the former president. “I like her husband. Her husband made a speech on Monday and was very well received. He is — he is a really good guy, and she’s a really good person and woman.”
In 2012, he said she performed as secretary of state over and beyond everyone else.
That would make a great Clinton ad, wouldn’t it?
Seriously, would you be surprised if he put her in his cabinet? He really loves her. His recent comments are just the political poppycock he uses.
In October of 2013, Trump told Larry King he “very much” liked Bill and Hillary Clinton.
On CNN’s State of the Union this past Sunday, Senator Ted Cruz said that he will support the eventual Republican nominee, even if Donald Trump wins the nomination.
Speaking with host Jake Tapper, Cruz reminded voters he’s the only candidate who can and has beaten Donald Trump, but added he “will support the Republican nominee. Period. The end.” Cruz said though he doesn’t believe Trump can win.
He then brought up Trump’s close ties to the Clintons who have a Foundation that is merely a “slush fund” for the Clintons to receive millions of dollars from foreign governments in part to influence her decisions as secretary of state. He believes the Foundation is the bigger scandal and Trump donated thousands to her Foundation. Trump won’t be able to attack her Foundation which is fertile ground, Cruz believes.
The Foundation is truly the scandal and that deal to sell our uranium to Russia should be on the front pages of every newspaper with the two Clintons being hauled into court.
