Faux-cahontas Elizabeth Warren
Will Marxist and faux Indian, Elizabeth Warren be competition for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race? Noam Scheiber [senior editor of New Republic] asks.
Why not? She’ll win all the Indian states.
WaPo summarized Noam Scheiber’s pontifications about who could possibly contest Hillary in a primary.
Scheiber believes Warren’s background in Wall Street Reform (hate the rich mantra) and her protection of the middle class (unions) makes here a standout.
Another quality that will make a conservative cringe is her push in the ’90s to pass universal health care. Nothing unusual for a Marxist such as herself. Both Warren and Clinton share their love of universal health care and universal pre-K. Clinton, says Scheiber, has a longer history of fighting for them.
The danger for Clinton, says Scheiber, is if Warren can persuade Democrats that cracking down on Wall Street is the number one emotional issue.
I doubt we have to worry about Warren. Hillary will be the candidate.
Another possible candidate is equally disturbing.
Townhall quoted John McCain today saying that some people still want him to run for president.
I think the people who want him to run for president are the Democrats!
McCain told a reporter for The Arizona Republic, “Particularly since the shutdown, I’ve had a spate of e-mails and letters and phone calls saying, ‘Run for president again. As you know, I’m seriously thinking about running for re-election to the Senate. But I think, in the words of the late Morris K. Udall, as far as my presidential ambitions are concerned, ‘The people have spoken — the bastards.’ ”
Could you imagine John McCain running again? No, me neither. That’s a sure loss.
