What would you do as a middle-aged man if you took time off from work and were afraid you’d get fired? Why you’d make up a fake obituary for your mother and post it in the local newspaper of course.
At least that is what 45-year-old Scott Bennett of Pennsylvania did.
He was charged with disorderly conduct when his very much alive mother found out about the obituary from relatives who were perplexed at seeing it.
She went to the paper and questioned the editor about it.
His mother handled the editor with aplomb. Not sure how it went with her son.
