Washington State Will Force Employers to Pay for Abortion Insurance

Washington state is considering an abortion insurance mandate that would require employers and individuals to pay for abortion insurance no matter what their conscience dictates. If it passes, they will be the only state in US history to force through a measure that forces an act of conscience.

The Reproductive Parity Act would require insurers in Washington state who cover maternity care to also pay for abortions. The bill passed the House and is heading for the senate.

The reason for the measure is Obamacare. The anti-abortion language has stirred the Washingtonians to pass a law that will protect a woman’s “choice.”

Washington was the only state to approve elective abortions in 1970.
