Hillary Blatantly Lied Again About Her Career Record to Sell “Free” College

Can’t we all agree that lying, especially to manipulate, is not okay? This week, Hillary lied to sell her free college in Mississippi to ill-informed minority students all-too-eager to believe her.

“I know that works, because Bill and I did that; we both borrowed money when we went to Law School,” the shrill Hillary Clinton said on the trail this week, adding that they paid their loans off as a percentage “so I could go to work for the Children’s Defense Fund and not some big law firm.”

Only problem is she did go work for a big law firm.

As an aside, notice the phony southern drawl she adopts when she’s down south.

Hillary allegedly applied for jobs at NASA (she wanted to be an astronaut? Really?) and the Marines (she wanted to be a Marine? Really?) but they turned her down because she was a woman, according to her, but that is also an aside.

Hillary’s positions during and after college focused on her political career and work with children was brief and incidental and meant to beef up her resumé and humanitarian credits.

The following biographical information is common knowledge.

Upon graduation from law school, in 1973, she went on to enroll at Yale Child Study Center, where she took courses on children and medicine and completed one post-graduate year of study.

It was post-graduate study to finish up and complete her resumé.

In the spring of 1974, she returned to Washington as a member of the presidential impeachment inquiry staff advising the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives during the Watergate Scandal.

After the Nixon resignation in August of 1974, she became a faculty member of the University of Arkansas Law School, located in Fayetteville, where her Yale Law School classmate and boyfriend Bill Clinton was teaching as well.

A year after her marriage, Hillary Clinton joined the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas, a big leftist law firm. President Jimmy Carter appointed her to the board of the Legal Services Corporation in 1978. That same year, Bill Clinton was elected to the first of five terms as Governor of Arkansas. The following year she became a full partner at the Rose Law Firm, a communist-friendly firm.

In 1975, the same year she married Bill, Hillary Clinton agreed to serve as the court-appointed attorney for Thomas Alfred Taylor, a 41-year-old accused of raping a 12-year old child after luring her into a car.

Recordings uncovered by a Free Beacon reporter, which date from 1983-1987 and which had never before been exposed, include Clinton’s suggestion that she knew Taylor was guilty at the time. She said she used a legal technicality to plead her client, who faced 30 years to life in prison, down to a lesser charge. The recording and transcript, along with court documents pertaining to the case, are embedded below.

That’s how much she cared about children.

Hillary cares so much about college students that she charged $275,000 for a speech plus expenses at public universities and received $2 million in total that we know of.

The University of Miami, headed by former Bill Clinton Secretary of Health and Human Services Donna Shalala, shelled out at least $250,000 in March for the multi-day program called the Clinton Global Initiative University, right before Shalala was appointed, the NY Post reported earlier this year.

The Clintons are in bed with the colleges.

Laureate Education, a for-profit chain with a global reach, paid Bill Clinton $16.5 million between 2010 and 2014, Bloomberg reported. Clinton had served as an honorary chancellor for Laureate International Universities, a subsidiary of the privately held company, which is among the world’s largest higher education providers.

Bill stepped down after his wife, Hillary, officially launched her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. Laureate had not disclosed how much it paid the Clintons.

Hillary hasn’t explained how she will pay for the vote-getting $350 billion dollar “free” college program other than taxing the rich but the rich will have to include the middle class to pay for it, so instead of each family paying for what they use, everyone will pay in taxes instead of tuition. She has said that to pay for it, she’ll close “tax loopholes and expenditures on the most fortunate.” In other words, she will increase taxes and redistribute wealth, including that of the middle class.

Democrats are the worst thing that ever happened to the middle class.

This will become another raise hike for colleges who are never held accountable and never cut a wasteful thing. It will be another raise for leftist professors and a big fat slush fund.

Colleges boost their tuitions because of “free” government (taxpayer-funded) loans and this will be the granddaddy entitlement of them all. It will just as effective as “free” healthcare. Loan forgiveness which she is touting will also be a pay raise.

Allegedly colleges that produce graduates who can’t pay back loans will be subject to penalties. OH, SURE! If you believe colleges will allow scrutiny or faculty pay raise freezes, I have this bridge I want to sell you.

Under Hillary’s plan, we can pay taxes instead of tuition and the colleges will continue their profligate practices.

I think the government should buy everyone a car. Everyone needs a car and it should be a RIGHT! It would only cost each family tens of thousands of dollars each year!

Think about all the useless philosophy and liberal arts majors we can pay for under Hillary’s plan!

It’s also questionable how much the Clintons actually sacrificed paying college loans and needed a pay-down. Bill won a lot of scholarships and Hillary had wealthy parents. The cost of college in those days, even at elite schools, was very doable and you were guaranteed a good job if you majored in something useful.

Hillary’s words come straight out of Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign.

Economist/Harvard author Ira Stoll found an article he wrote in January 1993 about the popularity of then-president-elect Bill Clinton’s campaign promise of a “domestic G.I. Bill.” The 1992 Democratic Party platform promised to “enable all Americans to borrow money for college, so long as they are willing to pay it back as a percentage of their income over time or through national service addressing unmet community needs.”

Stoll quoted Elizabeth Warren, socialist Democrat guru, “students who are crushed by student loan debt need better protection. When they’ve fallen off a financial cliff, they should be able to discharge debts in bankruptcy. When their schools break the law and defraud them, students should also be released from their student loans.”

There you have it. The Democrats have gone from Bill Clinton’s encouragement of loan repayment or national service to Elizabeth Warren’s encouragement of bankruptcy and indebted students declaring themselves as fraud victims, Stoll wrote on The Economist.

I heard her talk that line in her speech and it struck me, “wait a minute, she went to work for The Rose Law Firm, they would have paid any remaining loans off upon her getting hired??

Just what the nation needs, and army of “college graduates” with useless degrees in victimhood and grievance. All at taxpayer expense. I seriously doubt any institution will be held accountable for issuing fraudulent degrees. They will just continue to rake in the money, and the professors and administrators will continue to live in their luxurious ivory towers. After all, they’re loyal democrat voters. And the hapless “graduates” will find employment a challenge. Hillary’s grand plan is just another corrupt vote buying scheme.
