Muhammad Ali’s Funeral: Political Event for Leftists

Malcolm X

Ali’s funeral was a political event for leftists. The same people who trashed Nancy Reagan after her death and ignored and/or reviled Margaret Thatcher are the same people who glorify dead Marxists like Nelson Mandela and use Ali’s funeral to further their leftist agenda.

Ali is to be admired for many things but this funeral today wasn’t solely about admiration for him. For some, it was about all the leftist ideals they could squeeze into the ceremony.

The only reason Obama missed it is because today was his daughter’s high school graduation.

Valerie Jarrett played the race card over and over.

“He’d have everything stripped from him, his titles, his standing, his money, his passion. Very nearly his freedom. But Ali still chose America. I imagine he knew that only here in this country could he win it all back. So he chose to help perfect a union where a descendent of slaves could become the king of the world. And in the process, in the process, LEPD some dignity to all of us. Maids, porters, students and elderly bathroom attendant and help inspire a young, mixed kid with a funny name to have the audacity to believe he could be anything, even the president of the United States!”

Leftist Rabbi Lerner promoted his website, Hillary for president, and pushed for taxpayer-funded elections.

Taxpayer-funded elections – wouldn’t be any corruption there! The leftists in power would stay in power for time immemorial and it would become another politician’s ATM.

The globalist rabbi sees global taxation to end homelessness and hunger. Sure, that will work. Giving power to the elite has worked so well.

“–ways of domination, the strategy of domination of the world of the other to get security has been tried for the past 10,000 years and it doesn’t work. The way to get security is for the United States to become known as the most generous and caring country in the world, not the most powerful. [Applause ] We can start with a global and domestic plan to once and for all end homelessness, hunger, inadequate health care. So I want to — as the interfaith spiritual Progressives —, come join us. As well as the people of all faiths and secular humanists as well, we wish to pay honor to muslims of the world as they continue today to fast Ramadan and join with them in mourning the loss and celebrating the life of Muhammad Ali, a great fighter for justice and peace, peace be upon him, peace be upon the prophet Mohammed and all of humanity and all of us, amen.” [ Applause ]

Gumbel did the anti-evil government piece:

Let’s not forget the obligatory attack on the 1%.

“So I want so say, how do we honor Muhammad Ali? The way to honor Muhammad Ali is to be Muhammad Ali today. That means us, everyone here and everyone listening, it’s up to us to continue that ability to speak truth to power. We must speak out, refuse to follow the path of conformity to the rules of the game in life. We must refuse to follow the path of conformity. Tell the 1% who own 80% of the wealth of this country that it’s time to share that wealth. Tell the politicians who use violence worldwide and then preach nonviolence to the oppressed, that it’s time to end their drone warfare and every other form of warfare, to close our bases around the world, bring the troops home, tell those who committed mass incarceration that it’s time to create a guaranteed income for everyone in our society. [ Applause ] Tell judges to let out of prison the many African-Americans swept up by racist police and imprisoned by racist judges.” [ Applause ]
