Devon Erickson, hates President Trump and Christians

One student is dead and 8 others injured, some critically, after two suspects opened fire at the STEM school at Ridgeline and Plaza in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Both suspects, who are in custody, are believed to be students at the school.

One innocent 18-year-old boy is dead. We now know his name is Kendrick Castillo and he died a hero, trying to subdue a killer. Other victims were 15 years of age and older. Three were released from the hospital as of Tuesday.

Kendrick Castillo, a true American hero
The suspects have issues:

One of the students is said to be a transgender male (a biological female transitioning to male). The other suspect publicly hated Christians and Donald Trump, according to Heavy.

On social media, Devon Erickson, a registered Democrat, expressed hatred for some Christians and shared posts criticizing Donald Trump and praising Barack Obama…

“You know what I hate? All these Christians who hate gays, yet in the bible, it says in Deuteronomy 17:12-13, if someone doesn’t do what their priest tells them to do, they are supposed to die. It has plenty of crazy stuff like that,” he wrote in one Facebook post a couple years ago. “But all they get out of it is ‘ewwwwww gays.’” In 2015, Erickson put a celebrate pride filter onto a Facebook picture.

There were heroes:

At least one heroic student, Brendan Bialy, is credited with tackling one of the two gunmen (it’s not clear which one), a family attorney says. His father told The New York Times that “his son told him that two students entered the classroom and one pulled a gun out of a guitar case.”

The elder Bialy also told the Times that “his son and two friends tried to tackle the gunman but one of the boys was shot in the chest.”…

…A woman who goes by the name Suz Perc on Twitter wrote that Kendrick Castillo saved her daughter’s life. “He and his classmate saved my daughter’s life today. Both amazing hero’s (sic), their bravery stopped more senseless tragedy. My daughter is home safe because of his sacrifice. True hero’s,” she wrote.

More from The NY Daily News reports:

Late Tuesday night police identified one of the suspects as 18-year-old Devon Erickson but declined to give any more details or photos “as it could jeopardize this critical ongoing investigation,” the department said in a short statement.

The motive may have been linked to “revenge and anger toward others at the school,” KMGH said, adding that at least one of the two alleged shooters had been involved in drug use, both legal and illegal, and had undergone therapy.

Fortunately, deputies responded to the scene within two minutes as suspects fired from two different locations.

STEM School Highlands Ranch runs from kindergarten to 12th grade and serves 1,800 students. It is located about 7.5 miles southeast of Columbine, where gunmen Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold shot and killed 13 people and injured 21 others during an April 20, 1999, massacre.

“God never was in the public arena or in public schools.”

@ Beachgirl

The first schools were founded by Christians, and the first textbook was the Bible.

It is so very sad that we live in this kind of society. In my generation, we never had anything like this going on. God is being erased from schools, text books, public areas and government offices and this is what happens. The liberal left is pushing our country into chaos. It makes me so sad.

God never was in the public arena or in public schools. You’re conveniently misremembering the past. We have separation of church and state in this country. This is the United States of America.

The republicans with their blatant love affair with money provided by the gun lobby have the blood on their hands. They love money above the lives of our children. They love the chaos, it provides cover for their corruption.

Wow, you really are a total idiot. God was in Public schools and since he was removed our children have been paying the price. When I was in school we never once had a fear of getting shot by some deranged idiot. We had guns in our homes we knew better than to touch and the hunters kept them in their trucks for hunting after school. Not one problem. Republicans love money over the lives of our children!?!?!?! Do you even hear how stupid you sound? Thugs, drug dealers and murderers do not follow the law and you can bet your ass my children know how and when to use a gun to protect themselves legally from POS like this because that is how much I love my children. Instead of blaming Republicans or gun rights how about blaming the killers who steal the guns or whatever weapon of choice they choose because guess what, people get murdered by more guns. Looking at all your posts pretty sure you are the one that loves chaos.

Funny how Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and most of Europe are far more secular than we are. In fact, the Nordic countries are practically de fact atheist. Yet, the per capita violence and homicide rates in those countries is only a fraction of ours.

Not true. There was preaching prayer and bibles in scools up until the 60s at least. You are uninformed.

Must be a pretty wimpy god if mere humans can simply erase him from schools.

In any event, kids are free to pray anytime on their own outside of class. They just can’t take time out during class that classmates who may not share their religious beliefs would have to sit through, if not participate in, or have a teacher or school employee initiate or lead such a session.

They also need to find out who gave them the guns and prosecute those people as well for murder attempted murder and intent to commit murder premeditated murder And if the parents had the guns in their home they need to prosecute them as well

You need to study the Law. There is no Basis to charge someone for another’s actions unless the person was complicit in those actions.

That is complete and utter nonsense. Republicans value guns above our children’s lives and have proven it time and again by their failure to enact even tbe simplest common sense gun laws. Which the majority of Americans are in favor of.

These are children, they don’t have a political affiliation.

Guns don’t hurt people . Just because we cherish guns don’t mean we cherish them above our children. The only thing that makes a gun go off is a person.

Sean,
Honestly, Im a republican a hunter and Licensed concealed Handgun owner and a Pastor. Im about as far as you can be from a democrat. But I’ll say this, we need to toughen up some gun laws that affect criminals and mentally ill people having access to weapons. And we need to hold people accountable for how they store their firearms. Im don’t think it’s going to fix the problem completely, but it can’t hurt the problem to make it harder for kids, criminals, and the mentally ill to have gun access.
